Almstetter studied chemistry at the Technical University of Munich.
He wrote his thesis about “Simulation and Optimisation of
Multi Component Reactions with the Use of Genetic Algorithms" at
the Organic Chemistry department of Prof. Dr. Ivar Ugi. He applied
these theories in an internship at Roche AG. Michael Almstetter
laid the fundaments for the later MOREsystem® with the invention of
MolMind® as Head of Automation and IT at Morphochem AG. He applied
MOREsystem® to a variety of drug discovery projects with success.
At Origenis he is responsible for the development and
implementation of parallel chemistry, automated synthesis and
analytics.
